InventHelp, based in Pittsburgh, is submitting the SMART GRID to companies for their possible feedback.

"As a painter, I was looking for a more efficient way to do my job," said an inventor from Woburn, Mass. "I was sick of wasting time getting excess paint off mini rollers, which led me to develop this convenient accessory."

He created a prototype for the SMART GRID to remove excess paint from a mini paint roller. The device prevents paint from splattering and creating a mess. The design eliminates the need to pour paint from the can into a separate roller pan. It minimizes clean-up time, which saves time and effort for busy painters. The unit also eliminates hassles and frustrations. Furthermore, it is adaptable for use with any paint can.

The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
