InventHelp, founded in 1984, is submitting this idea, the SOFT FLEX, to companies for their consideration.

Both pet owners and professional pet groomers alike face the challenge of keeping an animal’s coat clean and attractive. Fortunately, an inventor from Midlothian, Texas, has found a quick and easy way to get the job done.

She developed a prototype for SOFT FLEX to remove loose hairs and tangles from an animal’s hair or fur quickly and easily. At the same time, it provides a soothing massage for an animal. As such, it is ideal for animals, like dogs, cats and horses, that need groomed for showing. Furthermore, it prevents shedding on floors and other surfaces. Therefore, it reduces the frequency of cleaning and vacuuming up pet hair. Also, it is designed for grooming hard to reach areas of a pet. In addition, it is convenient, inexpensive and easy to use and clean.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “It wasn’t something I actually planned. I just happened to stroke my lab with my bath prototype and she loved it. So I decided to modify it for use with animals,” she said.

The original design was submitted to the Dallas office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
