InventHelp, a Pittsburgh-based inventor service company, is submitting this idea, the Spike Block, to companies in the hopes of a good faith review.

“Due to my knee replacement surgery, I had to use a cane,” said an inventor, from Gurnee, Ill. “While using the ice grip attachment, I noticed how dangerous the unprotected spikes could be and I thought there needed to be a safer way to prevent possible injuries, so I invented this.” He invented the SPIKE BLOCK.

The SPIKE BLOCK offers added safety and stability in slick and icy conditions. In doing so, it would help to reduce injuries and damage associated with traditional spiked ice grips. As a result, it will provide added peace of mind. The patent pending invention features a convenient design that is easy to use so it is ideal for individuals who utilize a cane or walker. Additionally, the SPIKE BLOCK is producible in design variations.

The inventor described the invention design. “My design will make it safer to use an ice grip cane attachment.”

The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
