InventHelp Inventors Develop Surgical-Sponge Organizer (OCM-608)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- "Working in the hospital OR, I worried about cross-contamination when bags are pulled by someone wearing bloody gloves, as the blood also gets on the unused bags," said one of two inventors from Yucca Valley, and La Quinta, Calif. "We came up with this system to avoid cross-contamination."
They developed the patent-pending SPONGE ORGANIZING SYSTEM to offer a more convenient way to organize, display and count surgical sponges during operative procedures. The unit improves sanitary conditions during surgical procedures, preventing cross-contamination when retrieving counting bags. The invention also provides a better counting method for liability purposes. In addition, it holds a larger display volume.
