One of America's largest invention firms, InventHelp is submitting THE PET CAMPER to companies for their consideration.

Travel preparations are hectic enough without having to find a reputable kennel for the family dog, especially if its owner doesn’t like leaving it behind. Fortunately, an inventor from Chicago, Ill., has made travel plans much easier for pet owners.

She developed THE PET CAMPER to allow pets to accompany their owners on road trips. As such, it provides security and ventilation for pets while traveling by car. It also eliminates the need to board a pet with a vet or other pet care facility when traveling away from home. This idea provides a cost efficient, reliable and comfortable option for transporting pets. Versatile for use with any type of trailer hitch, it is also sturdy, waterproof and easy to use and maintain. In addition, this unique pet carrier is convenient, effective and reasonably priced. Also, it would allow for easy cleanup, making it ideal for animals that become car sick. There's no worry about messing up your car, as it protects against vomit and dog hair.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “As a pet owner, I always had a difficult time leaving my two dogs behind when I traveled by car,” she said. “Since I had trouble finding a proper care giver, I wanted to find a way to take them along.”

The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
