InventHelp® Client Develops Extension for Existing Thermowells (AVZ-1424)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 09, 2016 -- "I am involved in a project that is increasing the thickness of the insulation and replacing the vapor barrier on chilled water piping systems," said an inventor from Spearfish, S.D. "The existing thermometers will not be usable with the currently installed wells because they are not long enough to get the connection to the thermometer outside the vapor barrier. All I could find on the market was an extended shank well, but this would require shutting down and draining the piping. I wanted an extension for the existing condition."
He developed the patent-pending Thermowell Extension to provide a convenient way to extend an existing thermowell. The accessory will not disrupt the systems with which the thermowells are associated. It ends the need to shut down and/or drain the pipe, which saves time and effort, and eliminates hassles and frustrations. The unit easily retrofits to existing thermowells. Additionally, the design avoids the need to re-test the pressure of the system after completing the job, as it is not invasive.
