Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Weenee Geenee, to companies for review.

An inventor from Holcomb, Miss., has found a foolproof solution for keeping food from burning on a barbecue grill. He developed a prototype for WEENEE GEENEE to provide for more even cooking than is otherwise possible on an outdoor grill. For instance, it allows grilling of hot dogs with no burn marks. Ideal for many kinds of food cooked on a barbecue grill, it helps retain the natural food juices that are otherwise lost on hot grill grate. Furthermore, it eliminates the need to flip the foods with conventional barbecue grill tools. It thus saves time and effort while cooking outdoors. Besides that, it is convenient, practical, energy efficient and durable. In addition, it is easy to use, lightweight, portable and affordably priced.

The inventor was inspired by his love for the taste of grilled food. "I prefer to eat grilled hot dogs but my daughters didn't like the black marks left by the hot grill grates. This is the best way to prevent that from happening," he said.

The original design was submitted to the Birmingham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
