InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from New Jersey, has designed a cover that could protect the user of a wheelchair from inclement weather or bright sunlight. This invention is patented.
“Wheelchair Cover” extendable and retractable canopy would attach to the back of an existing manual or motorized wheelchair or could be built into a new wheelchair. This shield could assist a wheelchair user in avoiding discomfort and distress and promote convenience and peace of mind. Wheelchair Cover would be ideal for all wheelchair users, hospitals and nursing homes.
Wheelchair Cover would consist of a compactible canopy. The unit would feature a roof and four sides for optimal shelter. The unit could attach to the back of a wheelchair or could be manufactured permanently onto a new wheelchair. When the weather is bad, or the sun is too bright, the user or an assistant would pull the unit upward and forward so that it would extend fully over the user. Wheelchair Cover variations could include different materials and designs, such as sports logos, child-friendly characters and more. The curtain could be attached or unattached, and is easily snapped into place by the rider or an assistant.
InventHelp is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 13-NJD-653 at (800) 851-6030.
