InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the Clogged Milk Duct Reliever, to companies for their consideration.

With a growing number of women choosing to nurse their babies today, many more breast-feeding mothers are experiencing the discomfort from clogged milk ducts. Thanks to an inventor from Lower Burrell, Pa., relief is in sight.

She developed a prototype for patent-pending CLOGGED MILK DUCT RELIEVER to ease the breast pain from clogged milk ducts or mastitis experienced by nursing mothers. As such, it improves comfort for both mother and baby with soothing heat and gentle massage.

Designed for hands-free use, it is convenient, safe, all-natural and affordably priced. It is also easy to use, maintain and store. In addition, it is compact and portable for on-the-go mothers.

Inspired by her own personal experience, the inventor said, "When I breast-fed my children, I developed mastitis. I found it difficult to apply a hot water bottle or massage the affected region while holding the baby and doing other things. I wanted to find a better way to relieve the pain and improve the experience for nursing mothers."

The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
