InventHelp Inventor Develops Safety Gear for Umpires (CCP-705)

InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, is attempting to submit the Pro Tek to companies for their review.

Baseball umpires are right in the line of fire for high-speed pitches. In order to better safeguard them from harm, an inventor from Yorkville, Ill., developed the PRO TEK.

The patent-pending equipment keeps the umpire from being injured by stray pitches. It is designed especially to protect the inner-thigh area. The invention offers added peace of mind while standing behind the plate. It features lightweight, comfortable construction. Additionally, the gear is usable for other sports (i.e., fishing).

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I am an umpire for youth and high-school baseball leagues," he said. "I have been struck by balls many times and have amassed a lot of bruises during my tenure as an umpire. I came up with this padding to prevent such injuries."

The original design was submitted to the Cincinnati office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
