Pittsburgh-based InventHelp, founded in 1984, is attempting to submit the E Z Lift to applicable companies for their review.

"My mother had two hip replacements and two knee replacements," said an inventor from Bronx, N.Y. "When she sits down in any chair, she needs help getting up. I came up with this idea to help her get up more easily."

She developed the E Z LIFT to help an individual get up from a chair. The device reduces physical stress and strain, and it eliminates the need to ask for assistance to get up. The unit features an easily portable design. It is ideal for use by individuals with bad hips, backs, knees or other mobility issues. Additionally, the invention is producible in various sizes and colors.

The original design was submitted to the Manhattan office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
