InventHelp Introduces Automotive Accessory to Safeguard Upholstery and Paint While Traveling with Pets (HTM-957)

Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit this idea, the Car Door Paw Tray, to companies for their consideration.

Pets are easily excited by the prospect of getting in a vehicle and traveling with their master. On the other side of that, the interior of the vehicle takes a beating due to the curiosity of the pet perching on the door to gleefully peer outside the window at the world whizzing past.

CAR DOOR PAW TRAY is an invention that would protect an automobile's interior from scratches caused when traveling with pets and prevent animals from accidentally hitting the power buttons on the side doors.

Durable and portable, the convenient device provides a place for pets to rest their front paws on instead of the car door, thus eliminating the scratches and tears to the paint and upholstery. The unit offers added peace of mind to pet owners, as it lessens the need to have the interior repaired. Additionally, the accessory is adaptable for use in any vehicle.

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I realized the need for a protective device that would prevent animals from damaging a vehicle," he said. "My dogs scratched up my vehicle's interior because they were constantly standing up. My invention prevents such damages."

The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
