InventHelp, based in Pittsburgh, is working to submit this idea, the Plant Tender, to companies for their review.

Growing plants can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, but watering them daily can be difficult to maintain. "I like to observe the process of my plants growing in soil-filled buckets on my porch, but I don’t enjoy having to hydrate the plants every day," said an inventor from Rayland, Ohio. "This gave me the idea for a better way of doing this."

In order to promote healthy growth, the PLANT TENDER provides a convenient way to keep plants hydrated. It eliminates the need to water them manually on a regular basis. As a result, it saves time and effort, as well as supports the plant throughout its growth. Producible in design variations, the invention is ideal for apartment/city dwellers, gardeners, etc.

The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
