An inventor from Monsey, N.Y., has come up with a more convenient way to summon police in the event of an emergency.
He developed Silent Security to offer a way to alert police to a robbery without the robbers knowing. The unit immediately summons police assistance. The device saves the user from having to call the police by phone. The invention is designed to enhance personal safety and provides added peace of mind. Additionally, it is usable with the doors on safes, car locks, ATM PINs and cash registers.
The inventor's professional needs inspired his idea. "I came up with this idea while managing a grocery store," he said. "I saw a professional need for a better way to protect myself, my employees and my customers from robberies."
The original design was submitted to the Hackettstown office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
