InventHelp Inventor Develops Portable Umbrella (HCD-187)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- Have you ever gone to the store, and then the sky opened up and rain started pouring down? If so, you probably reached for your trusty umbrella, but many umbrellas are large and not that convenient to carry. That is why an inventor from Houston, Texas, created a prototype for the Umbrella in Your Pocket.
The accessory shields the user's hair and upper body from rain. It also offers protection from sunlight. The device eliminates the need to carry a full-sized, bulky umbrella. The compact design makes it ideal for use when running errands. In addition, the umbrella easily fits into a pocket, so it is always ready for use. Furthermore, it is perfect for those who walk the streets in downtown areas.
The inventor's personal experience inspired her idea. "I was carrying my 2-year-old daughter, and it started raining, but I did not have my umbrella, and I needed something over our heads for a few moments to make it to the car," she said. "This experience led me to invent this portable umbrella."
The original design was submitted to the Houston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
