Based upon responses from AP professionals across the United States to the AP Benchmarking 2013 Survey, the report demonstrates what best-practice organizations are doing, where they are succeeding, and ideas for improving internal processes.

Survey respondents represented all sizes of organizations. By industry, the manufacturing sector has the highest level of representation in the study. Other sectors with high level of representation include: Healthcare; Financial Services, such as banking and insurance; Professional Services, including legal and accounting; and Educational Institutions. Well over one-third of respondents identify themselves as AP Managers and have an average of nearly 20 (19.9) years of work experience overall, with nearly 15 (14.8) years in AP.
