The Professional Protector Plan® for Dentists Gives Back to the Community by Volunteering at the Iowa Mission of Mercy
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) October 17, 2013 -- Doors will open at the Varied Industries Building to patients at 6:00 am. Individuals of all ages are welcome. The dental clinic will be run on a first-come, first-served basis. Depending on the need of the patient, services may include cleanings, extractions, fillings, a limited number of root canals, and a limited number of "flipper" partials. The Iowa MOM is not able to provide crowns, dentures, or bridges.
PPP’s involvement with the Mission of Mercy began in 2011 as a way to give back to the community on a national level. During the rewarding and memorable days volunteering at the events, PPP members lend a helping hand with patient registration, looking after small children and comforting those patients who are nervous about receiving care or any other job that is needed of them. While it does get hectic, PPP members are happy to volunteer at MOM events because of the overwhelming joy patients express when they receive the dental care they could not afford otherwise. Distance is no barrier, either. Many of the PPP members travel great lengths to be a part of MOM and work long hours putting the patients’ needs above their own.
This truly gives meaning to PPP’s tagline “Smile. We’ve got you covered.”
In addition to attending the Iowa Mission of Mercy, the PPP will also be volunteering at the New Orleans and Arizona MOM events. For pictures, videos and more information about PPP’s involvement with MOM, visit PPP's Mission of Mercy page on our website or PPP's Facebook page.
