I know of the Iowa Army Ammunition Base, Camp Dodge and maybe a few others that will have MCSSs, but as a former Soldier, I can guarantee none of these locations will have a broad selection of unit crests.

Military medals and armed forces superstore, USA Military Medals, is stocking Iowa National Guard distinctive unit crests, here, today, as part of its commitment to the dress uniform needs of Iowa Soldiers.

From military slang, a Distinctive unit insignia (DUI) or “unit crest” is a metal heraldic device worn by soldiers in the United States Army.

These high-quality unit crests – including the U.S. Army Iowa National Guard Unit Crest Left and Right Facing (Our Liberties We Prize), U.S. Army 234th Signal Battalion Unit Crest and the U.S. Army 185th Regiment Unit Crest (to name a few – are sold in pairs with steel pin-backing starting at $14.95.

“Unfortunately for Soldiers in need of dress uniform items, there are very few options,” said USAMM, LLC President of Business Operations, Jared Zabaldo.

USAMM, out of Milwaukie, Ore., owns and operates USA Military Medals along with various other military uniform e-commerce stores.

“I know of the Iowa Army Ammunition Base, Camp Dodge and maybe a few others that will have MCSSs, but as a former Soldier, I can guarantee none of these locations will have a broad selection of unit crests,” said Zabaldo.

In addition to UMM’s large array of Unit Crests, service members may find and purchase their military medals and awards through UMM’s hi-tech program “EZ Rack Builder” – a free uniform tool for any branch of service.

UMM also builds ready-to-wear, mil-spec ribbon and medal racks, which may also be purchased through the EZ Rack Builder.

A military ribbon or medal “rack” is military slang, referring to the colorful rows of awards generally located above the wearer’s left pocket on U.S. armed forces dress uniforms.

“Most of these folks will be able to piece their uniforms together from various sources, but we’re a one stop shop and that can make all the difference for Soldier who has a world of other things to worry about,” said Zabaldo.
