WASHINGTON (PRWEB) June 10, 2019
Mervis Diamond celebrates the promotion of Maria Kamali to regional manager.
Maria immigrated from Shiraz, Iran to the United States in 2006. She spoke limited English, but arrived full of hope and enthusiasm, ready to make her mark in the new country she would call home.
Her landing spot was Richmond, Virginia where she found a job at a local jewelry store. She was a fast learner, acquiring language, culture and habits of her new environment easily. It didn’t take long before she learned the diamond industry and easily mastered the art of connecting with clients.
After a while, the excitement of living in a larger city encouraged her to move to Washington, DC. Maria joined Mervis Diamond Importers as a sales associate at various stores around the beltway. Her enthusiasm and talent were electric. Sales soared. Clients love her.
Fast forward to 2019. Maria Kamali has been tapped as regional manager for Mervis, the most important diamond dealer in the most important city in the world, Washington DC.
Maria has achieved the American dream.
‘We’re thrilled to appoint Maria.” said Ronnie Mervis, CEO of Mervis Diamond Importers. “We have a lot in common, both starting as hungry immigrants, and appreciating the fine quality in rare diamonds. We both share a passion for art and beauty.”
Maria, who has been with Mervis for more than seven years says, “I am motivated by the ethical standards at Mervis and the commitment to responsibly sourced diamonds. Moral integrity is important for me. I’m excited at the confidence shown in me and I will excel in my new role.”
