Company Launch – JailInmate.org To Help People Track Down North American Incarceration Records
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- JailInmate.org has been launched to allow people to search public records of people who are in the penal system now or in the past, the company said yesterday.
“We feel there is growing interest in finding out if someone in your life is behind bars or has ever been behind bars,” a JailInmate.org spokesman said. “That information is a matter of public record, but can be very difficult for the general public to access. Our site will automate the process and give people access to the information in a matter of minutes.”
There are two main uses for JailInmate.org, the company spokesman said.
“If you have met someone online and think you might want to go on a date with them, or if someone has applied for a job at your company and you think you might want to hire them, it's a good idea to make sure they have never been in jail or prison first,” he said. “That's a way of protecting yourself and your company.”
The second reason for using JailInmate.org is more personal, he said.
“Many of us have friends or family members we've lost touch with after they went to jail,” the JailInmate.org spokesman said. “We may want to reconcile with them by giving them a visit. But inmates switch from jail to jail all the time. Our system will let our customer know exactly which jail or prison they are in right now.”
To use the system, customers simply have to type in the full name of the person they are searching for, pay a small fee, and the information will pop up on their monitor, he said.
