JailInmate.org to Include Parole and Probation Status in Their Reports
Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 29, 2013 -- JailInmate.org is about to expand their public records background reports to include the potential parole and/or probation status of the person researched, the company announced yesterday.
“At launch time, we thought that people would be most interested in knowing if the person they were looking up was in jail or had ever been incarcerated,” a JailInmate.org spokesman said. “But, we've been listening to our customers, and they have told us that probation and parole status are just as important to them. With that in mind, we expanded our database to include this additional priority information.”
Customers are interested in probation status, because even if the person they are looking up has never been in prison that can still be a red flag, he said.
“If you are using our service to see what JailInmate.org can tell you about someone you met while dating online, it would be useful to know if they are on probation for a drug- or sex-based violation, even if they never went to jail over it,” he said. “That little bit of extra information can help.”
People are interested in parole status because it can give them a sense if the person is doing their best to rejoin the community, he said.
“A lot of companies will give someone who has been in jail the benefit of the doubt if they can prove that they are making progress in improving themselves,” the JailInmate.org spokesman said. “Knowing their parole status can help them make that decision.”
