James Madison High School is No. 1 of The 25 Best High Schools Online for 2018 according to school rankings website Best College Reviews.

To build the list, the Best College Reviews editors evaluated and ranked popular online high schools based on features like flexibility, range of course selection, testimonials, academic support, affordability, and more. Points were awarded for quality in each area. If the final tally resulted in a tie, the school with the lower tuition was awarded the higher ranking.

“We were thrilled to have JMHS ranked at No. 11 on last year’s list. It is so exciting to be recognized as No. 1 this time,” said Principal Megan Bowen. “This has been a stellar year all around for us. In August, not only did we host our largest commencement ceremony ever where more than 200 JMHS graduates walked for their diplomas, but we also received an outstanding Index of Education Quality™ (IEQ) score – 347.94 out of a possible 400 – after an assessment by our accreditor AdvancED. Today, more than ever before, JMHS is achieving its mission of providing quality education at a great value.”

Best College Reviews compiles their editorially-independent lists using information from the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Census Bureau, and other publicly-available data sources.
