‘The Drake Odyssey’ to be Displayed at 2015 Illinois Library Association Conference
Olivehurst, Calif. (PRWEB) November 10, 2014 -- The 2011 publication of “The Drake Odyssey” (published by AuthorHouse) by author James G. Ralls will be on display at the 2015 Illinois Academic, Public, School & Special Libraries Conference at the Peoria Civic Center on Oct. 22-24.
“The Drake Odyssey” takes its name from privateer Sir Francis Drake, incorporating his legend into a mystery. When a small-county sheriff tries to convince a reluctant witness to testify against notorious and murderous international criminals, they get much more than they bargained for. Together, the sheriff and the witness unknowingly hold the keys that unlock secret treasures held within the majestic Sierra Nevadas.
In just 120 pages, “The Drake Odyssey” is a quick read of extraordinary fiction. Ralls leads readers through the lives of ordinary people who encounter dangers and secrets, exposing them to situations that only their faith and personal experiences could have prepared them for.
“The story is not only interesting but uplifting, as the unassuming sheriff and witness take on a cast of evil characters who mean them harm,” Ralls says, “yet the two do not yield their integrity or faith, even when faced with such a formidable challenge.”
Ralls hopes his work will draw readers into the story and cause them to take pause as they consider how they relate to one of the many characters in a personal manner.
