4WD Now Selling Jammock 2.0 Hammock for Jeeps
Columbiana, Ohio (PRWEB) August 05, 2016 -- 4WD, prominent provider of aftermarket Jeep parts and accessories, is now selling the versatile Jammock - a Jeep hammock - and the accessory is making a big impression on Jeep owners. The Jeep hammocks are made of 1000 Denier Cordura Nylon and are capable of holding over 1,000 lbs. with no adverse effects. The Jammock is typically mounted between a Jeep’s front or rear roll bars where an occupant can sit or lie suspended in it.
Formerly, Jammocks were made of polypropylene trampoline material that had a looser weave. The 1000 Denier Cordura Nylon material used is an upgrade that ensures edging stitches hold under weight. “The straps are the same webbing you’d use for rock climbing and the buckles are the same that kayakers use to hold gear on whitewater,” says Jammock president James Snoddy. “All the materials are top of the line, Berry-Amendment compliant, and all Jammocks are made in the USA.”
Snoddy recalls how Jammocks initially faced an uphill battle because they didn’t look comfortable. People were reluctant to buy them until they actually got into the hammocks to test them. “Testers filled out a survey and I found that I was on the right track immediately,” he says. After acknowledging defects in the first product run, the company switched suppliers and has never looked back.
“With 5,000+ in sales I’ve had a total of 12 returns,” says Snoddy. Everyone from grandpas to adults to properly supervised babies enjoy the Jammock and the core audience is 17-26 year olds who enjoy the beach and off-roading.
“The Jammock is a perfect summertime or anytime accessory for Jeep owners who are going to jamborees, tailgating or relaxing out on the trail,” says Sean Campbell, 4WD General Manager. “We’ve had a great response from Jeep enthusiasts since we began selling the Jammock 2.0 and people love its comfort and versatility to act as a top as well.”
Jammock also has the JammockTruck, designed to turn truck beds or boats into mobile hammocks. Roughly 2 ½ times the size of Jammocks, they give wheelers a place to lay their heads when they’re on the go by simply adding a shell to the truck bed. The company is currently conducting a survey to see which Jammock add-ons like cup holders, pockets and colors are most preferred.
