Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan Asks: Buy New iPhone or Update to iOS7 or Wait?
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- Should you be among the first to update to iOS 7 or buy a new iPhone, or should you wait? The media is full of stories like this from Forbes, Sept 17.
Tech analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.
“Apple introduces a new iPhone every year. And every year the same question comes up. Should I upgrade as soon as it hit’s the streets, or should I wait? The answer is simple. It depends on who you are and what you want.” Says Principal analyst Jeff Kagan.
“If you really want the new iPhone or iOS 7, and if you are an early adopter, and if you don’t mind some hiccups and problems that come from being first, then go ahead and jump right in and be among the first.” According to wireless analyst Kagan.
“However it you would prefer your iPhone to work right, and don’t want to put up with early adopter problems and hiccups which always occur, then I would wait a few months.” Says Kagan.
“When Apple rolls out a new iPhone, everything does not always work well. Some Apps don’t work until they are updated. Some new technology, like the fingerprint reader may or may not work flawlessly right out of the box. Remember the Apple GPS navigation fiasco last time? These are things that are fixed in the first few months.” Says Kagan.
“After the updates have taken place, then everyone can jump in the pool because the water will be great. Until then, early on, only the early adopters should jump in. They know their experience may not be flawless, but then again hey, they get to use the brand new tech no matter the price.” Says Kagan.
