Elena Gilbert (Actress Nina Dobrev) Wears Jewelry by Andrea’s "Garnet Moon” Necklace in Episode 5:4 of "The Vampire Diaries"
Calgary, Alberta, Canada (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Andrea Kelly, designer/owner, Jewelry by Andrea (http://www.jewelrybyandrea.com), is pleased to announce that her "Garnet Moon” necklace was recently worn by character Elena Gilbert (actress Nina Dobrev) on CW TV's "The Vampire Diaries.” The necklace was seen on episode 5:4, “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” which aired October 24, 2013.
Andrea’s necklace was selected for use on the show by "The Vampire Diaries" wardrobe stylist Leigh Leverett, who discovered the jewelry designer’s work as the result of a The Artisan Group® Stylist Gift Bag she received earlier this year.
The “Garnet Moon” necklace is choker length (16 inches) and features a petite but impactful hand-cast brass half-moon pendant from Bali (purchased through Fair Trade), paired with a delicate strand of Garnet. Andrea notes the half moon symbolizes gratitude and enthusiasm.
When the opportunity arose to submit a design to be considered for use on the show, Andrea was torn between two very different pieces and says, “My son and I watch “The Vampire Diaries” together and when it came down to a final decision, he felt strongly about “Garnet Moon.” The deep blood red color of the Garnet combined with the half-moon made it a perfect fit for the show—and I love that Nina Dobrev wore it so well.”
The limited edition “Garnet Moon” necklace is available for sale on the Jewelry by Andrea website. The piece ships with a hand-selected silk jewelry pouch. Interested parties may also contact the designer by email or phone.

I love to do a morning class and then take time to create new designs with no end goal in mind. In fact, my best pieces come when I allow myself to wander through the creative process.”
