About the Author
J. Grathmore Stratus III was born on Long Island, New York. As a child, he grew up being bullied by the older and much bigger boys in his neighborhood, who never seemed to grow weary from targeting this younger, very over-weight, bucktoothed and extremely nearsighted boy. Even the girls in school made fun of him. There was never a shortage of harsh nicknames. Nonetheless, he had better things in mind from which the harsh realities of being bullied would later serve for motivation leading to athletic scholarships, serving aboard oceangoing steamships to foreign lands, and finally molding a heart of compassion to serve the local community. It is from this background that his story has surfaced. He hopes that it will help the healing process in the lives of others regardless of the source of their hurts and disappointments.
