Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 28, 2013
Since 2001, Jim Ellis Automotive Group has given back to the community through an annual charity golf tournament. This year’s event took place Aug. 25 at Chateau Elan Golf Club and benefited some very deserving organizations selected by Jim Ellis employees. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Our House, Norcross Cooperative Ministry, Clark’s Christmas Kids and Angel Flight were all recipients of the funds raised.
"We enjoy hosting our charity golf outing each year,” Jimmy Ellis, VP and COO of Jim Ellis Automotive Group said. “Employees pay to golf or volunteer to work the event, and then we all vote on the recipients of the proceeds. Each year the funds have grown significantly and we're excited to give back to the community. Our business partners golf too, adding more fun and proceeds to the tournament each year."
Created from dealership founder Jim Ellis’ desire to share his blessings and opportunities with others, the tournament’s mission is to “directly serve children in need in Metro Atlanta, enhancing the dignity, health and well-being for our future generation and in our community.” Since the tournament’s inception, an impressive $500,000 has been raised to benefit Atlanta’s youth and their families. The proceeds are distributed to the charities during the holiday season. To learn more about the event or how you can be involved, visit http://www.jimellisgolf.com.
