CLEVELAND, Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Two-time GRAMMY nominated songwriter and pianist Jim Brickman, recently wrapped up his inaugural "Brickman Bootcamp for Songwriters" in Cleveland, Ohio. Supported by music finance company Sound Royalties, the four-day event was a raging success, hosting dozens of participants, prominent guest speakers and a closing concert at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Aimed to help songwriters increase their knowledge of music business, improve their skills and learn from other industry hit-makers, the bootcamp took place at Brickhouse Network Studio in the historic Shovel Works building.
The event kicked off with an opening night welcome concert from Brickman himself at Creative House Studios. Guest speakers included songwriter and comedian Kathryn Lounsbery, as well as Canadian singer/songwriter Luke McMaster, who has written songs for iconic artists such as Rihanna and Justin Timberlake. The two provided insider tips on the music business, how to tap into creativity, and how songwriters can take their talents to the next level.
During the bootcamp, attendees participated in unique workshops, received hands-on feedback from Jim Brickman and his team of industry professionals on songs and ideas, and learned insider secrets on creating, selling and promoting music.
On the closing night, participating songwriters showcased their new skills by performing their own songs live at the event's Songwriter Showcase held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Brickman Bootcamp participants also received free concert tickets from chart-topping artist Jason Mraz.
"I want to thank our guest instructors, Sound Royalties and the entire Brickman team who made the Songwriters Bootcamp a success." said Brickman. "It was an incredible experience with lessons to be long remembered and drawn upon. We were inspired and gratified to watch the creativity flow from each participant.
