Coach Jim Lefebvre Makes His Major League Baseball Strategies Available In Book and on DVD
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Jim Lefebvre, Coach, Manager, Player and International Baseball Consultant announced today that two of his basic training systems are now available to the general public.
The Making of a Hitter was first published in 1979 with the help of Jim’s (now deceased) father, baseball great Ben Lefebvre. Through the years the book has been requested over and over and Jim is pleased to announce that it is now available once again both in a printed version, (updated with a spiral binding and new introduction) as well as a download on Amazon as an ebook for the computer savvy coaches.
“This book really gives all the training methods we used, and those that are still being used, in the Major League to train our hitters,” said Coach Lefebvre. “They are tried and trusted methods which worked well for some of the greatest players of all times.”
The book is filled with photos and step-by-step approaches on the way to become a great baseball hitter. Highly-praised by coaches as well as players, this book is written in an easy-to-understand way so that coaches and parents, or players of any age or skill level, will benefit from the information found in this book.
In conjunction with the book, Lefebvre is re-issuing his award-winning training series Backyard Baseball. Created originally to help parents coach their children while playing in youth sports, it is a tool that has been used by coaches as well. The ideal model, according to Lefebvre, is that the coach and parents each own the DVD, allowing the coach to structure his practices on the DVD “lessons”.
“In most cases the coaches for youth baseball are the parents. They are often new coaches who have a knowledge of how the game is played, but no real method for training these young players,” Lefebvre said. “It takes the help of parents, working with their kids in the back yard, to really make a great player. That’s what this training tool does: It allows the coach to organize his practices in a way that all the players benefit and the parents know what to be working on at home.”
In fact, Lefebvre is so passionate about this series, he has structured his sales of the DVD to allow coaches to purchase them for his team and resell them to the parents, making some additional revenue for team equipment or purchases.
“There is nothing better in motivating a young player than getting the praise and time of their parent. This series allows the parent to spend time with the child, while helping them learn the skills needed to become a great young player,” Lefebvre said.
Both of these training tools are available on Jim’s web site at http://www.themajorleagueway.net. Jim is also writing a blog which can be found at Jimlefebvre.com
