Apploi Jobs Kiosks Launched in New York State Job and Re-entry Centers

Apploi’s award-winning job kiosks will be placed in New York State career centers and reentry centers on Monday, as part of a pilot initiative between the New York-based innovative job search and candidate capture technology company, Apploi, and the New York State Department of Labor and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Job seekers are no longer just evaluated on what they do or don't have on their resumes (or whether they have been unemployed or have a criminal conviction), but by their personalities and soft skills.

Apploi’s award-winning job kiosks will be placed in New York State career centers and reentry centers on Monday, as part of a pilot initiative between the New York-based innovative job search and candidate capture technology company, Apploi, and the New York State Department of Labor and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Apploi transforms how jobseekers interact with companies – by enabling jobseekers to showcase their personality, skill set, and passion for the job upfront, and respond to questions (including video and audio) set by employers. Job seekers can search for jobs in a variety of ways, including by industry and location, and can see where the jobs are on a map.

Job seekers are no longer just evaluated on what they do or don't have on their resumes (or whether they have been unemployed or have a criminal conviction),but by their personalities and soft skills. The results for job seekers are that those who were previously regularly marginalized or overlooked, or didn’t have access to apply, are getting jobs – and companies are seeing the benefit of lower turnover and reduced time to hire.

Alongside the public kiosks, job seekers can also apply to jobs – as well as benefit from Apploi’s advice and training offerings -- on their mobile and desktop devices.

Apploi’s data shows that when kiosks are available, more than 63% of applications come through the kiosks, and employers benefit from on average a 30% reduction in turnover.

Apploi was recognized in July by the White House as “an American Innovator” for its transformative work, and has been working with local officials, employers, community groups, and strategic partners across the nation on initiatives.
