Joe Carr launches book campaign for ‘The Corrupt Costermonger’

Whilst not based on an actual case, Joe Carr’s “The Corrupt Costermonger: A Seller of More Than Fruit” (published by Xlibris UK) is formulated by experience. The book specifically highlights and illustrates the desperation of migrants in order to try and obtain a better life.

Set in middle England, the crime novel shows how a simple telephone call can lead to illegal immigrants, murder, the downfall of terrorist cells and the jailing of a Member of Parliament. Sergeant Ron O'Neill took the original telephone call and becomes the thread which runs throughout the story.

Carr’s main inspiration in writing the book is the constant flow of immigrants from the Middle East to Europe and the U.K.

“The drug dealer saw other people’s misery, as 'easy pickings' by offering alleged safe passage into the U.K. while making vast sums of money for themselves, by planting drugs on the illegal migrants,” the author explains his book’s inspiration.
