JOELTON, Tenn. – A peaceful man by nature, John Lee Johnson is on a quest for revenge. A war hero and man of intense ability, John is a nightmare to those who have provoked him in the new western, “John Lee Johnson: Both Barrels Blazing: Double Trouble ” (published by Abbott Press).

“I like the idea of teaching, informing and entertaining,” author Conn Hamlett says. “What better method than in an exciting western novel.”

An adventure propelled by fast-moving action, “John Lee Johnson: Both Barrels Blazing” is rife with complex character interactions as it speeds to its bloody conclusion. Taking place in West Texas in 1865, it is a well-research historical tale.

Through his writing, Hamlett’s hope is that readers will see: “That I am the best western writer that nobody has noticed. I want them to demand more and more and know that John Lee Johnson is one heck of a man as well as a hero.”
