John VanOrsdell’s New Novel Brings Celestial Beings to Earth
Boothbay, ME (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- John VanOrsdell’s new novel “Angelesis” (published by iUniverse) is a fast-paced, contemporary story of celestial intervention in terrestrial affairs – a divine visitation to Earth.
“‘Angelesis’ is unique in that Celestial Beings are Central Characters,” VanOrsdell explains. “Spiritual Authorities take control; a Divine Visitation and Incarnation; a Universe Revelator; and much more. It is a face-paced action packed contemporary story line, that grabs readers from young to old right from the first pages right on through to the very last page.”
An excerpt from “Angelesis”:
“Though sinking fast, her stern blown away, raw momentum kept her going—shattering the closed double gates of the water-filled upper chamber, screeching and banking along its concrete walls. And at the far end of the chamber, the last-ditch pair of safety gates braced for impact—a Canal first.
In her death throes, broken, never to float again, the Domenico Gelatt nonetheless clawed on, massive inertia her one remaining weapon. Mortally wounded, she smashed aside the first lower gates of the upper lock, her speed now bleeding off quickly. Then, a last, valiant twist and lurch to starboard.
She groaned to a dead-in-the-water halt. A scorched, smoldering carcass, she ended up oddly cleaved to the final emergency gate—looking for all the world as if she were begging to be let in.”
