There is a famous saying that a life well lived is a life well spent. What it means is that life is short and thus one should never waste the opportunities one is given, that one should grab onto it with both hands and push through all obstacles with full conviction. In “A little < TMI” the author Joseph Easley has lived his life in that manner.
In this inspiring book the author recounts his days as a youth growing up in rural Tulsa , Oklahoma , born into a close knit immigrant family, that prized hardwork and dilligence, he learned early in life that in order to succeed one had to put in the extra mile and make no excuses. The author recounts how hard life was for him in the early days of his youth wherein his family was forced to relocate to multiple locations. And in order to help the family he took in jobs as a bike repairman and newspaper delivery boy. The author also reminesces of his days in the navy and how through hard work and determination he was able to earn a college degree and eventually gain a paying job that enabled him to provide a comfortable life for his family. This book also shows the authors lifelong fascination with mechanical technology and how through the years this interest has influenced his life. It also shows the authors struggle with a fatal illness and how with a positive attitude he continues to battle with it every single day.
“A little < TMI” is an uplifting book, about how one man’s determination and hard work he was able to achieve a lot in his life no matter the obstacles.
