Judy C. Hope Shines Light On Faith, God, Hope in New Memoir
Woodstock, Ga. (PRWEB) August 25, 2014 -- Author Judy C. Hope had just finished watching Dr. Charles Stanley preach on the purpose of a Christian’s life – to glorify God – when she felt God reach out to her. At that moment she realized her life would be one of glorifying God, through her actions and by example. She now aims to put her life to the page and further glorify God.
Hope brings her story of pain and abuse to life in her new memoir, “Made New: A Hippie Chick’s Journey of Forgiveness” (published by WestBow Press), which details the eight years of abuse she experienced at the hands of her father.
Hope says that from age 12 and beyond, she often questioned where God was amidst all her suffering. Her memoir places readers into her shoes, allowing them to watch as she struggles not only with abuse, but also with a waning faith.
“This book isn't just about my life,” Hope says. “It's about what God can do in the life of other victims too.”
Through the telling of her story, Hope aims to bring greater awareness to the life-long effects of sexual abuse and shine light on God’s grace.
