Statue Cruises is the only ferry to Liberty Island. Boats will leave from Battery Park in Manhattan and Liberty State Park in New Jersey again on July 4th. Book a ticket to visit the crown and grab a ride to the island.

In addition to the ferry to Liberty Island, there are tons of amazing sightseeing cruises in New York City that provide fantastic views of the Statue of Liberty, as well as many other must-see attractions. Sightseeing cruises are huge this weekend, so it’s a good idea to book in advance online to reserve a spot. Many of these companies are also offering fireworks cruises that evening in NYC, which are the perfect way to take in views of it all.
Staten Island Ferry
This free service is run by the City of New York to transport Staten Islanders to and from Manhattan. It is also a great ride for anyone who wants a quick tour of a few of the City’s landmarks. There is a perfect view of the Statue from the deck and it runs 24 hours a day.
NYC Jet Ski Tours
A jet ski tour is a great way to take in the City, especially on those hot summer days in Manhattan. Fantastic pictures can be snapped from the water while everyone zooms through the waters a powerful jet ski. At Battery Park in Lower Manhattan, hitch a ride to Liberty Island or catch the Staten Island Ferry close by. The Museum of Jewish Heritage has tall windows that look out to the Statue of Liberty and a sound installation of refugees discussing why they chose to make the US their home. Brooklyn Bridge
Brooklyn Bridge is an iconic landmark of NYC and every visitor should experience a walk across it. The view from above the East River includes that Lower Manhattan skyline and Lady Liberty herself. Looking for something a little more adventurous? Hop on a bike and ride over the bridge and into Brooklyn. There are tons of places to explore around there, and many companies like Bike and Roll offer guided bike tours, and rentals that are perfect for a Brooklyn Bridge bike ride.
Governors Island
Take a trip to Governors Island and spend the day biking, picnicking, festivals and more. Located a mile out from the tip of Lower Manhattan all the activities on the island have a great view of the Statue.
Liberty State Park
Located in New Jersey, this waterfront park still has great views of Lady Liberty. Take a ferry from Manhattan to the other side of the Hudson River to be 2,000 feet from the Statue.
