KALAMAZOO, Mich., Nov. 14, 2018 Museum Offers Dec. 1 Space Science Adventurer Program for area Brownie Girl Scouts
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is hosting a Space Science Adventurer program on Dec. 1 for area Brownie Girl Scouts. Participants will investigate and learn about the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars through hands-on activities. In the Museum's state-of-the-art planetarium, Brownies will become stargazers viewing constellations. Girls will complete most, if not all, of the requirements, but the badge itself is not included.
Lexie Schroeder Kobb, Assistant Director of Museum Programs said this new program is a natural fit for the Museum. "We're excited about sharing our resources with area Girl Scouts and look forward to expanding our offerings with more programs like this," she said.
The program runs from 9 a.m. to noon. There is a $10 fee for scouts and a $3 fee for adults. Space is limited. Scouts must be accompanied by a troop leader or other adult. Preregistration by November 23 is required. Contact Elizabeth Barker at 269.373.7965 or [email protected]. Program may be canceled due to lack of enrollment.
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is operated by Kalamazoo Valley Community College and is governed by its Board of Trustees.
