Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 09, 2014
Kardio-Xercise™, a premier lifestyle fitness brand, is proud to sponsor the Chicago Break Workshop, a high-energy hooping class led by hooping sensation, Rachael Lust. Ms. Lust gained national attention after a YouTube video of her hoop dancing in her kitchen went viral. Since then, she has appeared on The Queen Latifah Show and FOX 8 Cleveland’s morning show. Hooping.org has also named her “2014 Female Hooper of the Year.” Her intense, 3-hour hooping workshop is part of her summer tour and will focus on break variations and techniques. The workshop will be held on Sunday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lake Shore Park Gymnasium, 808 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60611.
Hula hooping or “hooping” has been gaining popularity over the past several years as a fun and effective full-body workout. Aided by the enthusiasm of celebrities and athletes alike, gyms across the country are adding hooping to their roster of fitness classes, offering gym members a unique alternative to their typical workout regimen. While hooping may be the latest fitness craze, it certainly is an effective way to improve cardiovascular fitness and promote weight management. In fact, a research study from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse determined that hooping burns an average of 210 calories during a 30-minute hooping workout, comparable with results attained during a boot camp, step aerobics or cardio kickboxing session.
“It’s no secret that hooping is an incredible workout,” said Oscar G. Castillo, CEO and Founder of KX Evolution, Inc., creator of the fitness brand Kardio-Xercise. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Rachael Lust once again as she continues to bring hooping into the mainstream and teach others how to incorporate hooping into an effective fitness regimen. At Kardio-Xercise, we’re committed to fitness as a lifestyle. This is why we are excited to sponsor Rachael’s Chicago Break Workshop. Her passion for hooping and commitment to fitness perfectly exemplify the core mission of the Kardio-Xercise brand – a lifestyle of health and fitness. We’re also working with Rachael on some exciting promotions that we expect to announce later this year.”
“I’m excited to team up with Kardio-Xercise for my Chicago workshop, and at the same time, I'm eager to provide the people of Chicago a glimpse of what goes on behind my hooping videos,” said Rachael Lust. “If you're already a hooper and are looking to take your skills to the next level, my workshop is a perfect opportunity to advance your hooping, while getting a major cardio workout. Hooping is more than a hobby for me; It's a lifestyle...it's pure passion.”
Tickets for the Chicago Break Workshop are $60 and are still available via Kardio-Xercise’s website Ticket purchase also includes an exclusive Kardio-Xercise goodie bag, featuring a sweatband and silicone wristband (valued at $15). Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend.
