Kathleen Cavanaugh’s new poetry brings God’s grace to page
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (PRWEB) January 09, 2015 -- Author Kathleen Cavanaugh says she grew up attending church, desiring to know and please God. Frustrated with her efforts, she encountered what she identified as the Father's Holy Spirit and Grace, which caused her to realize she was “already pleasing to God because of Jesus' finished work,” she says. From a grateful heart enjoying a loving relationship with Father and Son through Holy Spirit, Cavanaugh’s poems reflect a spirit of child-like freedom, innocence restored and mystery of mankind’s union in the Trinitarian Dance all because of the cross.
Cavanaugh invites her readers to experience her new poetry collection, “New Wine Poems and Rhymes: Heaven’s Bliss for All Ages” (published by iUniverse), which puts into verse many aspects of the truth she experiences. She hopes her poems will inspire readers to understand their inclusion in the cross of Christ and that all the benefits belong to them as well.
An excerpt from the poem “Creation Awaits” taken from “New Wine Poems & Rhymes”:
“Come, see the heirs of the kingdom awaken
To the truth that each wilted image was taken
To the cross where your innocent self is revealed.
In Christ you are gloriously redeemed and sealed!
As you gaze at the cross, beyond just a glance,
Do you realize you’re united in the Trinitarian dance?
Hearts need no longer be discouraged and bored,
For by Christ’s blood wholeness is fully secured!”
