Anjili Russell Helping Professionals and Parents Embrace Yoga in Childhood Development
Keene, NH (PRWEB) November 21, 2016 -- Yoga authority Anjili Russell will speak to parents, counsellors and therapists at the Keene Yoga Center event about embracing yoga in childhood development. She will share tips and techniques for using yoga philosophy and practices to cope with stress, anxiety, trauma, and other Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
Join Anjili in a rare, raw, intimate dialogue as she shares her experience as a child-turned-youth, relying on substances to manage her life and feelings of separation, anxiety, and trauma—and how she found health and happiness through embracing yoga as a spiritual path and integrated way of life.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Keene Yoga Center located at 80 Roxbury Street, Keene, NH. Professionals and parents are invited to attend and will leave this event inspired and informed with practical tools and tips to begin, or continue, their own healing journey. They will also come away with strategies for integrating a positive, universal approach to spirituality with their children and/or the children they work with.
“Yoga can help restore wholeness and teaches a universal approach to and understanding of spirituality,” said Russell, who is also writing a translation of the yoga sutras for children. “I want to give back to the community and help people restore wholeness to their lives.”
Russell, who owns and operates Keene Yoga Center with her husband Bryan and is the owner of Sangha Relations, is dedicated to working with women and children to heal and transform their lives by using yoga philosophy. She also recently launched Kids Yoga School, which uses a fun, creative, age-appropriate curriculum to teach children yoga philosophy and practices to enhance their everyday lives.
