Christine says of her uniquely designed process for instilling a spirit of giving, “I watched how it changed my family and believe it can change others too!”

A night of watching her children fawn over the latest Christmas TV commercials and newspaper ads led Kelly Christine to write, “Embracing a Spirit of Giving” (published by WestBow Press).

Desiring to teach her children about the true spirit of Christmas and giving, Christine takes her family on a 25-day journey. “I remember learning that behaviors are made or changed over the course of many days,” Christine recalls. “That’s why this 25 day process is intentional and life-changing.”

Readers of “Embracing a Spirit of Giving” will follow Christine’s family’s extraordinary journey of simple and creative ways her family gave to others daily, as they counted down to Christmas. “Call me idealistic, but I really believe every act of kindness, no matter how simple in nature, can change a heart,” she says. “When hearts change, our world changes. The values and lessons we instill into our kids today will influence future generations.”

With Christine’s easy-to-follow guidelines and suggestions, readers can create a journey for their own family to be done at any time of year. The second half of “Embracing a Spirit of Giving” is a scrapbook section where Christine asks thoughtful questions and gives readers space to insert photos, keepsakes and extra pages to record their journey.
