Speak Georgia is a series of town hall-styled, kitchen-table talks conducted throughout the State of Georgia that are centered on dialogues about local and national political topics. The objective of “Speak Georgia” is to provide a non-partisan environment where the community can obtain detailed information surrounding hot-button issues while getting their questions answered and concerns heard.

On November 8, 2019, Kelvin and Janelle King, owners of Osprey Management and founders of Speak Georgia brought their townhall talks to the national kitchen table when they joined the conversation on the Black Voices for Trump Coalition in Atlanta.

In addition to raising money for the United States Senator David Perdue, President Donald Trump launched the initiative with the goal of bringing African American votes to the Republican party through small business funding, increased access to resources, and job creation. Since the installment of the Trump administration, eight billion dollars in contracts and financing has been awarded to minority-owned small businesses which have led to 20,000 new jobs.

When welcomed to the stage by President Trump, Kelvin and Janelle King, owners of the successful construction firm Osprey Management, attributed the success of their business to the economic agenda and policies of the current administration that have made the black community a priority.

“Our future success depends on our success in ignoring the distractions we see on a daily basis. Participate in this economy. Take advantage of these policies.” King said. “Don’t sit on the sidelines because of emotions or feelings. Get in the game.”

After seven years, Osprey Management has grown from a basement to a 12,000 square foot facility, earned recognition for being one of Atlanta’s fastest-growing companies, and was announced #1405 of 5000 on the Inc. 5000 list.

About Speak Georgia

Speak Georgia is the brainchild of Janelle King, a political consultant, and Former Deputy State Director with the Georgia Republican Party (GAGOP) and Kelvin King, found of the aforementioned construction firm, Osprey Management. The idea stemmed from the many conversations Janelle and Kelvin had while sitting around their own kitchen tables. In an effort to keep those conversations going while inviting more voices to the table, they decided to create Speak Georgia which would take the form of community town hall discussions. Hence, a non-partisan idea was born where community members are able to explore and speak on popular political topics affecting Georgia, its communities and the United States. https://speakgeorgia.com/
