Key Air Welcomes Newest Addition to its Private Jet Charter Fleet as it Celebrates 30 Years in Business Aviation
Oxford, CT (PRWEB) April 26, 2016 -- Key Air, a leading national provider of best-in-class aircraft management and worldwide executive jet charter services is pleased to announce the addition of a Bombardier Learjet 45XR to its managed fleet of charter aircraft. The Learjet becomes the fourth aircraft to join Key Air’s Part 135 certificate in the first quarter of the company’s 30th anniversary year.
The Learjet 45XR, based in the Northeast, provides a great option for business and personal travelers alike. It can fly 2,301 miles (1,999 nautical miles) nonstop and can cruise at 437 knots. The well-appointed aircraft, now available for private charters, offers plush leather seating to accommodate 8 passengers; an entertainment system which includes DVD and CD players, dual video monitors and Airshow; flight phone; mini galley with a microwave oven; and a separate enclosed aft lavatory.
“We are extremely happy with the addition of another super light jet to our diverse charter fleet”, said Ron Muller, Key Air VP National Sales. “With the approach of the summer season and the request for this size aircraft increasing, the Learjet 45XR will provide another great option to our charter clients planning travel throughout the U.S., Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean.”
Key Air also celebrated a milestone as it turned 30 this year. Established in 1986, it began operations under Founder and current President and CEO, Alan DePeters. What started with a single Hawker 700 on Key Air’s management certificate has grown to today’s fleet of various late-model aircraft types from manufactures such as Bombardier, Gulfstream, Falcon Jet and Hawker Beechcraft. The company’s 30 year success was built on its continued premise of providing customized boutique-style aircraft management and charter services tailored to the clients’ individual aviation and travel needs. Key Air maintains an exceptional record for flying safely without incident throughout its 30 year history and continues to be recognized with exceeding industry audit standards for safety. Its extended flight operation capabilities has enabled Key Air to be one of the first operators to offer and fly on-demand charter into Cuba – which is still a highly restrictive destination. Headquartered in Connecticut, Key Air is the premier aircraft management and charter service provider on the airfield at the Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OXC).
“I am proud of Key Air’s continued growth as we celebrate our 30 year anniversary in business aviation”, said Key Air Founder, President and CEO, Alan DePeters. “This is truly a dynamic and remarkable industry to be part of and I commend every one of Key Air’s employees that have contributed to our many years of success in the industry. Their dedication and commitment has attributed to the safety-oriented and customer-centric culture Key Air possesses and is renowned for. We remain focused on the mission to be a hands-on boutique company that provides aircraft management solutions and concierge charter services specific to the clients’ needs and requirements.”
