Rountree Brady Announces Charity Effort to Support Children’s Services at the Memorial University Medical Center Hospital
Savannah, GA (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- Rountree Brady Insurance Agency, a locally owned insurance provider with offices serving the greater Savannah area, is launching a new charity drive to support Next Generation, a volunteer group that works to support the children’s wing of the Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Next Generation workers are dedicated to improving the lives and outlooks of children receiving treatment at Memorial University Medical Center, and offer a host of helpful programs for pediatric patients, including “end of chemotherapy” parties, celebrations for holidays and birthdays, and arts and crafts breaks. Next Generation also hosts fundraising events and educational workshops for children and families throughout the community on important issues like nutrition and bike safety.
“Next Generation is an integral part of the Memorial pediatric center,” explains Mickey Rountree, owner and manager of Rountree Brady Insurance Agency. “These volunteers work wonders at comforting sick children and their families during incredibly trying times, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure they have everything they need.”
Rountree Brady Insurance Agency is actively reaching out to family, friends, community members, and business associates in an effort to spread the word about the work being done by Next Generation, as well as gathering support and donations to ensure that the group is fully funded going forward. Work is already being done on creating an online social media presence in the hopes of gathering support from across the state and throughout the country.
In addition to supporting Next Generation and the Memorial University Medical Center, Rountree and his team have assisted several other local charities in recent months, and plan to support a new local charity every 30-60 days in the months to come as part of an ongoing community improvement campaign.
