"It takes a village to raise a child" is demonstrated every year at KIDZMANIA. The annual event brings together community businesses and organizations as sponsors to assist Linking Families and Communities to make this family friendly adventure possible at no cost to those attending.
This year the event will be held on October 24th at the Crossroads Mall from 10 am to 2 pm.
Sponsorships provide the funding to bring in free activities from a variety of organizations from all over the state like the Science Center of Iowa, ISU Insect Zoo and the Grout Museum.
"We cannot thank our sponsors enough for their support of KIDZMANIA each year," says Elizabeth Stanek, Executive Director of Linking Families and Communities. The United Way is dedicated to ensuring the best possible future for our youth by promoting positive choices and behaviors and helping youth access available services and resources so they have a greater opportunity to achieve their full potential and pursue their goals and dreams.
