KIDZMANIA Will Have Entertainment From Across The State At The Crossroads Mall In Fort Dodge, Iowa On Saturday, October 24th
Fort Dodge, Iowa (PRWEB) October 20, 2015 -- Balloon animals and art by six balloon artists, face painting and airbrush tattoos, and Iowa Central Community College Automotive Tech’s Nascar Tire Change are just a few of the very popular activities at this year’s KIDZMANIA. The event is free to the public from 10 am to 2 pm at the Crossroads Mall in Fort Dodge, Iowa this Saturday, October 24th.
A large canvas that kids will be able to contribute to will be hosted by The Blanden Art Museum and there will be other booths that bring out the artist in kids with coloring and finger painting activities. The center stage will include performances by the United All Stars, a sponsor of KIDZMANIA. Stage Door Productions will let everyone try out their singing ability with Karaoke. Family photos are a very popular activity at the photo booth and of course who can pass up a hot dog from the Golden K Kiwanis.
Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) will be bringing out interactive programs that include the CNC Machining Center and Robotic arm where children can practice actually using the Robotic arm to perform tasks. The Health Department at ICCC will have stations where everyone can practice arranging x-rays and have Oral Screenings.
Pets play a big role in the family unit and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica will be talking to the children about how important vet check ups are for their pets. Stuffed animals will be used for practicing the check ups with animal crackers as treats.
Big draws to the event are the “Hair Raising” exhibits from the Des Moines Science Center of Iowa, tarantulas and other creepy creatures will be on-hand from Iowa State University Insect Zoo, and Bluedorn Science Imaginarium from Waterloo will have race tracks set up for Hot Wheel racing competition.
“We have packed in family friendly fun that will entertain everyone for the 4 hours of KIDZMANIA,” says Elizabeth Stanek, Executive Director of Linking Families and Communities. “Providing entertainment at the same time we are educating the community on resources for young child development has been a perfect match during this free event.”
With over 50 organizations participating at KIDZMANIA, the variety of activities and entertainment is sure to delight all ages as they make their way around the Crossroads Mall. Outside everyone can see the UnityPoint Health Ambulance and EMS staff and the City of Fort Dodge will have their Sidewinder Automated Refuse Collection Vehicle onsite for demonstrations.
