LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For decades, artists and creators have combined different styles and mixed elements of different genres to create something new and revolutionary. With their latest performance video, dancers Kirsten Bloom Allen and Magnus Christofferson have created a new phenomenon — ballet performances combined with rock concerts.
In this new video, Kirsten and Magnus perform a stunning piece to "Sound of Silence" by rock band Disturbed. Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Magnus has trained at the prestigious Royal Danish Ballet and is now a professional dancer at the Los Angeles Ballet and ARC Entertainment Company. He's starred in award-winning short film The Dancer directed by Jason Silva. Kirsten's riveting performance with Magnus adds a powerful visual element to the song, adding an even deeper emotional resonance for the audience.
The "Sound of Silence" performance was choreographed by Tigran Sargsyan, an award-winning choreographer highly sought-after principal male dancer. Tigran has danced in Switzerland, Germany and is currently a principal dancer with the Los Angeles Ballet and ARC Entertainment Company. With their latest initiative, called Bands and Ballet, Kirsten and Magnus have brought ballet performances like this one as an opening act to rock concerts for bands such as Jefferson Starship and The Wallflowers. Kirsten, Magnus, and Tigran will also be starring in an upcoming music video of Disturbed's "A Reason To Fight" to help further the song's message of suicide prevention.
