Kodak Alaris, a new company born from one of the world’s most iconic brands, is on a mission to help consumers unlock the power of their images through innovative technology and state of the art printing solutions. From KODAK MOMENTS Apps to KODAK Picture Kiosks - the world’s largest network of in-store photographic solutions - Kodak Alaris is focusing on the eco-system of mobile printing and the connection between retail and online services to empower consumers to manage their images in new and exciting ways.

“In a world where we capture more images and share more images than ever before, we’re passionate about helping people capture, keep, share, relive and celebrate their precious moments as easily as possible,” said Ralf Gerbershagen, CEO of Kodak Alaris. “We’re driven by a simple belief – to help consumers find a better way. It drives us to keep innovating and push the boundaries between the physical (retail space) and digital (mobile/PC) environments.”

Kodak Alaris is proud to showcase a range of innovations including:

New at Photokina: Latest additions to the KODAK MOMENTS Apps

With over six million app downloads to date, new features and products added to the KODAK MOMENTS App family on the iOS, ANDROID and WINDOWS platforms are due to be announced at Photokina.

My KODAK MOMENTS App for Android Smartphones: New Feature-Tell my Story
Ideal for social media fans, the Tell my Story feature enables users to combine three images with voice-over narration. This feature allows consumers a more personalized sharing experience, enhancing the enjoyment of their KODAK MOMENTS. This feature will also be available for iOS smartphones soon.

KODAK MOMENTS HD App: Now available
The newest tablet app from Kodak Alaris, available in both ANDROID and iOS platforms, is specifically designed to take advantage of the larger format and enhanced touchscreen functionality, enabling easier creation of photo books and prints in an expanded range of sizes. The KODAK MOMENTS HD App features Smartfit Technology that preserves complete content of pictures without cropping, regardless of format, including panoramic images. And, KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Enhancement Technology is embedded for even better looking pictures.

New at Photokina: Instant Square Prints Available at Retail
The square photo print, one of the most popular image formats on social media platforms such as INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK, is now available on KODAK Picture Kiosks. Simply connect wirelessly using the My KODAK MOMENTS App for smartphones or KODAK MOMENTS HD App for tablets to instantly turn photos into “retro” prints. These KODAK MOMENTS Apps make it easy to access images not only on the device, as well as images from INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, DROPBOX and FLICKR.

New at Photokina: Online Shopping on Kiosks with KODAK Marketplace
A further highlight is the new KODAK Marketplace, enabling customers to order personalized photo products online while in-store at the KODAK Picture Kiosk. KODAK Marketplace will also allow retailers to generate additional revenue by expanding their premium product segment and partnering with third party suppliers of their choice. KODAK Marketplace is currently being piloted at key retailers.

New at Photokina: Meet the App Developers from the KODAK Photo Service Program
Kodak Alaris has opened its worldwide Kiosk network to content providers. This new consumer-to-retailer service provides a revenue opportunity for retailers and third party developers while offering consumers a fast and easy pathway to create physical output from their captured moments. This program removes barriers to printing by giving consumers an easy-to-use, proven way to print from mobile, desktop and web applications. They simply choose what they wish to print, pick the most convenient retail location at which to pick-up products, and place their order, all from their favorite devices at home or anywhere. A Kodak Alaris centralized network is used to connect Mobile/App and website content to retail fulfillment. Some of the photo app developers who participate in the program will be available at the Kodak Alaris booth.

Both the KODAK Photo Service and the KODAK Marketplace enable retail partners to expand their premium product segment, extend their product range, and thereby generate sales growth.

New at Photokina: KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Premier Canvas Paper
The new KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Premier Canvas Paper will also be launched at Photokina. The new canvas surface is a first for the AgX category and is ideal for high-end display prints, photo books and other unique products. The paper eliminates the need to strip processed color paper emulsions to achieve a canvas effect in the finished print. Also, a white paper on ENDURA Premier Paper’s mage permanence performance will be made available at Photokina.

Also at the Booth: Kodak Alaris Product Portfolio
On display at the Kodak Alaris booth will be the extensive array of products and solutions, including mobile and tablet print apps, new photo premium products such as high quality custom cover duplex photo books, the new professional paper and popular film portfolio.

These products and solutions demonstrate Kodak Alaris’ commitment to helping our partners grow and evolve their businesses in an ever changing imaging world. We do this with innovative connected business models that ensure our partners can offer the photo products and services their consumers love and demand.

New partnerships including Rossmann and Allcop (Germany), Tesco Timpsons (UK), Carrefour (Spain), Expert Foto (Russia) and District Photo Harrier (USA / UK) further enable consumers to enjoy and share their KODAK MOMENTS in a hyper-connected world.
