Dietitian and Child Feeding Expert Kristen Yarker Launches ‘Kitchen Conversations’ Video Series Featuring Real Families
(PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- Child feeding expert Kristen Yarker is pleased to announce the launch of her Kitchen Conversations video series featuring “real families and real meals.” In the series, Yarker interviews real moms and dads to learn their recipes, tips for successful family meals and more. The videos feature casual conversations in the kitchen to showcase how real, relatable families of all shapes and sizes make meal time happen in their homes. Known as “the dietitian who transforms picky eaters into food-confident kids,” Yarker hopes to show the world that family meals are often a perfectly imperfect affair.
“I created Kitchen Conversations because many moms and dads have shared with me that they feel like failures in making perfect, June Cleaver style, Pinterest-worthy family meals happen for their families,” Yarker says. “Those family meals are a myth! A myth that I want to bust so that parents step out from under the weight of their guilt and enjoy eating together with their families.” With real stories and real people, Yarker hopes to show parents that meal time doesn’t have to be “perfect” to be healthy, fun and memorable.
The series is a new feature on the Vitamin K Nutrition Consulting website, where families can find expert advice and ideas to help children overcome their picky eating habits. After five years of helping parents in British Columbia, Yarker decided to expand her practice online, supporting parents anywhere who can benefit from her expertise. Yarker helps picky kids learn to try new foods, without the forceful techniques many adults experienced as children, negotiations or sneaky tricks.
